The company "Riviera Kakome" sh.pk has reacted to the events that occurred the day before in the Kakome area, describing them as an attack on its private property and denying the accusations of restricting access to the beach.
According to the company, several dozen people entered its territory, causing damage to the entrance gate, fence, guardhouse and other objects within the property. The statement said evidence of the incident had been secured and that legal avenues would be pursued to identify and punish those responsible.
Riviera Kakome also denies claims that citizens have been banned from accessing the beach. The company explains that the restriction only relates to the fenced private land, for which it has a building permit, while the road leading to the coast has remained accessible and the beach has been used freely.
The response also addresses the issue of land ownership in Kakome. The company argues that the claims raised by residents of Nivica have previously been reviewed in court and have not been accepted, while emphasizing that the area where the project is being developed is not included in the properties contested by opponents of the investment.

Several residents, immigrants from Greece and citizens from different areas of the country gathered on Sunday in Kakomë Bay, in a protest that turned into a symbolic act of what they called the "liberation of Kakomë" after more than two decades of conflicts over ownership.
Protesters demolished the perimeter walls, pulled down barbed wire, knocked down guard booths, and removed every trace of the fence.
Despite the tension of the situation, no incidents were recorded between protesters and police forces. Blue uniforms remained at a distance, monitoring the situation and ensuring normal traffic on the Saranda-Himarë national axis.

Kjo puna e parave neper plazhe ka 30 vite qe ka lulezuar. Jam skandalizuar ne plazhin e Durresit kur rrota malokut picderr me kerkoi para e thoshte qe eshte toke private. Sa do e dua me shpirt popullin e vendin tim, nganjehere me krijohet nje urejtje kur shoh veprime injorantesh si te xhunglave. Dhe me e keqja eshte se xhunglen e krijuan njerezit e pyllit e tani nuk mbahen fare qe kane marre edhe shtetin. Hiqen si trima e patriote por nuk jane aq sa mbahen. Shteti te bllokoje ligjet e tokes e prones e asnje pellembe toke te mos u shitet te huajve. Ne duan te investojne te marrin toke me qira e jo ta kethejne ne pronesi te tyre se e merr lumi pastaj. Kush i huaj do te bleje shtepi e apartament te vihen ligje strikte qe pa kaluar 20 - 30 vjet te mos u nenshtetesi Shqiptare qe te gezojne te drejten per te blere. Keto ligje i ka tere bota. Kemi mbetur sa nje grusht e po zhdukemi. Bleme shtepi ne plazhe me te drejten te shullohemi free ne plazh e pastaj horrat zaptuan plazhin e ngulen cadrfat e nuk te lene te kalosh per ne det.
