Analyst Frrok Çupi, invited to the show "Ora e Fundit", commented on the open clashes between Sali Berisha and Ervin Salianj, who accuse each other of having connections with names from the criminal world.
According to Çupi, the same scenario that has happened before is being repeated in the DP, but with different intensity and forms. He emphasized that the way these clashes are taking place is ugly.
Çupi stated that Ervin Salianji has managed to gather more supporters than Sali Berisha in several cities, including Elbasan, Durrës and Gjirokastra, which according to him shows that Berisha is now in a minority within the Democratic Party.
According to Çupi, Salianji has taken the initiative to awaken some principles and norms that, according to him, are missing today in the DP, which no longer functions as a political institution. He added that the red lines in the party are being set selectively, to cover up internal problems, since the real problem of collaboration with crime is related to Berisha himself, while Salianji reminded him of the importance of MP Arjan Ndoja.
"I am also following these developments. In the DP, what has always happened is happening, the same thing is being recycled, with a different intensity and different cheers. Only the news is happening, which has plenty of room for news, because the way is ugly. Ugliness and stupidity arouse great curiosity. Salianji, a militant of that party and a personality of it, has gathered more people than Berisha, this is the drama.
Berisha is in the minority in the Democratic Party. In Elbasan he gathered more than Berisha, in Durrës as well, in Gjirokastër as well. He is afraid that they are taking the party out of his hands. He is swimming in troubled waters and yesterday he brought out his daughter as a "submarine". He is no longer worth the DP and other processes. Salianji took the initiative to awaken some principles, norms, which we can now say is not a political institution.
"He draws the red lines where his bad thing is revealed and exposes it in front of the members of the Democratic Party. He draws the red line according to his vice and his vice is crime. The real problem in collaborating with crime is Berisha himself and Salianji reminded the deputy Arjan Ndoja," he said.
He further emphasized that "the aspirations of the Democrats can no longer be represented by Sali Berisha. He would like the big party, but as long as he can't have it, he talks to himself and says: if I have two more people here, I will be the first. The DP will "die" serving Sali Berisha. He is afraid and terrified that within that party there are people who want to develop, regardless of him", said Çupi.
