A high flow of movement has been recorded at the Kakavija Border Station during the last 24 hours.
According to official data, a total of 7,919 citizens have moved on both sides of the Albania-Greece border, of which 5,253 are entering and 2,666 are exiting. Also, 2,675 vehicles have been registered entering and exiting, specifically 1,626 entering and 1,049 exiting.
Meanwhile, according to Greek media, the Kakavia-Ioannina road, in the Kallpaq segment, will remain open to vehicle traffic during the Christmas holidays. Farmers, livestock keepers and beekeepers who have organized the blockade of the area have decided to temporarily lift the blockades until Friday, December 26.
Although the farmers' protest continues, there will be no traffic disruptions for this special period, in order to avoid problems and facilitate movement.
