“All prison employees are under constant monitoring and undergo specialized training in the field.” This was the response of the Deputy Director General of Prisons, Femi Sufaj, to the accusations made earlier by journalist Artan Hoxha, regarding the introduction of escorts into prisons.
Asked during a conversation on "Off the Record" on A2 CNN, Sufaj added that the journalist should actually be prosecuted for the statements made, as according to him, it is a matter of defamation.
"I know that he is actually under investigation. But, for what he said, he should be prosecuted. Because it is a low slander, which you cannot do to anyone, because those who work there are people, they have dignity, they have families," said Sufaj.
At a time when many questions have been raised about what is happening within the walls of our prisons, from which murders are ordered and from where corruption and external influence seem to undermine every rule, the Deputy Director General of Prisons emphasizes that the system in prison institutions is actually improving.
"....Especially in terms of employee recruitment. Employees are first selected with integrity, after being selected they undergo specialized training for the field. They are under constant monitoring...There are standard rules that you are monitored everywhere with cameras ," he added.
We recall that journalist Artan Hoxha stated a few days ago that there are several different ways that some people, including well-known showbiz figures, use to get into prison.
According to him, there are girls who enter prison institutions as psychologists or trainers and actually act as escorts.
