Bad Bunny's long-awaited concert at the Milan Hippodrome was canceled due to a severe storm that hit the city on Saturday evening.
Organizer Live Nation announced Sunday that the show will not be rescheduled and that all tickets will be fully refunded.
The concert had started about an hour early and the atmosphere was festive. Tens of thousands of fans danced in front of the stage, while the Puerto Rican artist even thanked the weather, saying: "Today is much cooler than yesterday."
A few minutes later, thick clouds appeared over the area and a light rain began, causing the organizers to temporarily suspend the concert for about 10 minutes.
However, the situation quickly deteriorated. The rain turned into a heavy hailstorm, forcing organizers to permanently cancel the concert and begin the immediate evacuation of the approximately 78,500 spectators in the Hippodrome.
According to Italian firefighters, several spectators were injured after being hit in the head by large hailstones. They received assistance from emergency medical teams from the 118 service.
This is the second major concert to be canceled in Milan in a few months due to extreme weather conditions. In March, a concert by singer Rosalía was also canceled after the artist suffered from food poisoning.
