Lawyer Kujtim Cakrani stated that he expected everything, except to be accused of patronage by former President Ilir Meta.
He stated that no one believes Meta's accusations and that they will backfire. Cakrani emphasized that there is no one who would associate his surname with patronage.
"I have been accused of being a patronizer. This is Mr. Meta's perception. I believe you know that I am an opposition member and there is no chance, it does not happen and no one believes what Mr. Meta said, that I am a patronizer. Realistically, no one believes it. That is, this turns into a boomerang for those who know me and my family. So, as far as Zvërnec is concerned, I am the lawyer of the Shehu family and normally I am a lawyer who works. Mr. Meta may have wanted me full-time, but full-time I cannot be anyone's lawyer because I am not a slave. I am a lawyer and I do a job that I have to do and so when a lawyer is paid full-time, when a lawyer is hired full-time, there are also some other conditions. I believe that there is nothing left of Mr. Meta's defense.
