A joint action by the Saranda Border Police Commissariat, the Municipal Police and the "Eagle" forces has led to the removal of 14 sea piers in the Ksamil area.
The intervention was carried out within the framework of the implementation of the decision of the Saranda Municipal Council to reduce the number of water corridors, with the aim of increasing safety and improving the management of marine spaces during the tourist season.
Authorities report that the action was conducted without incident, as the owners of the vessels cooperated with law enforcement during the process of removing the moles.
Meanwhile, in another operation in Saranda, police have blocked and seized a ship suspected of being operating with forged documentation. The vessel has been escorted to the Saranda Seaport, where administrative procedures and relevant verifications are being carried out.
Authorities have launched investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the case and to verify the validity of the seized documentation.
