The Ukrainian Football Federation has officially announced the end of cooperation with coach Sergei Rebrov, ending his adventure at the helm of the national team after about three years.

Rebrov, who took charge of Ukraine in 2023, failed to meet his main objective: qualifying for the World Cup. The elimination in the semi-finals of the play-offs was considered a major setback for the team, increasing the pressure on the coaching staff.

During his time in charge of the team, the 51-year-old led Ukraine in 34 matches, recording 16 wins, 8 draws and 10 losses, a generally positive balance, but insufficient to guarantee continuity.

The fans' dissatisfaction became especially evident after the friendly win over Albania at the end of March, when there was an organized demand for his departure. However, the official decision to terminate the contract was made only three weeks later.

There is still no announcement about Rebrov's successor on the Ukraine bench.
