The new sponsor of the Juventus shirt "Ita Airways" has become a real deadlock, in the light of the intervention of the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni. The latter blocked everything, with the white and white club that could do nothing but take into account this decision of the Italian government.
Juventus, after closing the multi-year agreement with "Jeep", which had guaranteed 341 million euros for 12 seasons, had moved for a new sponsor, which would be displayed on the jersey of Thiago Motta's players.
Initially, the most popular name was "Amazon", but things did not progress with concretization. Thus, another channel was opened with "Ita Airways", which turned out to be lucky, on the basis of about 41 million euros for three seasons. A less favorable situation than the previous one, but which still sent the parties to the agreement, even under the conditions of time limitations.
However, at this moment, as "Lettera43" also confirms, the related agreement has been terminated with the intervention of the government. Giorgia Meloni personally intervened to stop everything. "Ita Airways", without the next change of ownership, with the transfer to "Lufthansa" (which would suit Juventus), is still owned by Palazzo Chigi. The latter, therefore, still has the right to decide. The relations between the government "Meloni" and "Stellantis", whose president is Elkann, are weak.
"Stellantis" is actually accused of having decided to reduce production in Italy some time ago. For this reason, the prime minister opposed the sponsorship, motivated by the desire not to guarantee 41 million euros to those who had not yet submitted an industrial plan to preserve production and employment in Italy. In short, a stalemate that complicates Juventus' plans.
