Real Madrid have secured another important signing for their future, signing Argentine talent Franco Mastantuono for 60 million euros. The youngster will join the Madrid club in August, once he turns 18.
" Real Madrid communicates that Franco Mastantuono will be a player of our club for the next 6 seasons, from August 14, 2025, to June 30, 2031.
Mastantuono grew up in the River Plate academy between 2019 and 2024 and became part of the first team since the 2024-2025 season. In February 2024, he became the youngest scorer in the history of River Plate, a team with which he won the Argentine Super Cup.
"At just 17 years old, he became the youngest player to play an official match with the Argentina national team in its history ," Real Madrid said in a statement.
However, the youngster will join Real in August, after playing with River Plate in the Club World Cup, where he will also be the Madrid side's opponent.
He is Real Madrid's third signing of the summer, following Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool and Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth. Real Madrid also appointed Xabi Alonso as their new coach to replace Carlo Ancelotti after he failed to win a major trophy this season.
