Lamine Yamal, the young star of Barcelona and the Spanish national team, has shown his personal side in an interview for the podcast 'Resonancia de Corazón'.
The 17-year-old striker spoke openly about the changes fame has brought, his relationship with his family, and the difficult moments in his life.
"My life has changed in all aspects. Before, I could do whatever I wanted, go out with friends, but now it's no longer possible. On this summer's tour in Korea, Japan and China it was impossible to go out anywhere, but I'm happy," Yamal said.
He also stopped at the figure of his mother, Sheila Ebana, whom he described as the main support of his life:
"My mother is my queen, she deserves everything. I bought her a house and this is my way of showing her how much I love her. She always took care of me even when she worked hard."
Yamal also spoke about his love for video games: "I remember when she bought me a PlayStation 4, it was everything to me. Now I play PS5 a lot. I could have the biggest villa in the world and I would always stay in the PlayStation room."
In the interview, the Barça talent also touched on a dramatic moment in his life, when his father was stabbed: "I was only 16 when I received the news. It was difficult, but the next day I went back to training. Then he called me and told me he was fine."
Finally, Yamal also responded to the controversy surrounding his 18th birthday party: "I'm not angry. They tried to ruin everything in many ways, but I'm calm."
