Kosovo coach Franco Foda stated that the team needed Baton Zabërgja more than Edon Zhegrova against Slovakia, which is why he put him in the game.
In the 3-4 triumph, Kosovo fans were surprised when in the second half they saw Zabërgje entering the field, ahead of Zhegrova, with the latter remaining on the bench throughout the entire match.
At the press conference, the German coach stated that he has great confidence in Zhegrova, but at that moment he decided on the Metalist 1924 star.
"Baton Zabërgja before Edon Zhegova, is this a consequence of the low minutes at Juventus? I have great confidence in all the players, including Edon."
"Each game has its own importance and you have to decide who to include. In Slovakia they played with long balls, so we needed a player with a long body. Maybe tomorrow Edon will play from the start," he declared.
Meanwhile, Foda is expected to stick with the previous lineup against Slovakia with some last-minute changes.
