One of the biggest difficulties faced by Real Madrid in the transfer of Kylian Mbappe is the salary he would receive during his five-year contract with the club.
In relation to this matter, the journalist Jose Luis Artus has given an overview of the annual payment that the French player will receive, as reported by " Mundo Deportivo ".
According to Spanish media, Mbappe will earn 26 million euros every year at Real Madrid, a discount from what the PSG attacker was getting.
According to the newspaper, Real Madrid did not want to offer Mbappe a salary that would be much higher than that of his teammates.
One way they planned to address this was by offering Mbappe a €100m signing bonus (split into €20m payments for each of the five years of his contract).
This deal was possible because the Frenchman was joining Real Madrid without the need for a transfer fee, as his contract with PSG had expired.
As for earnings from image rights and other sources, Mbape will keep 100% of the revenue from the deals he has signed and will keep 80% of the revenue from any new deals he secures from this point forward.
In terms of his annual fee, it is believed that the Frenchman would receive around €26m before tax, which would be around €15m after tax.
It is important to remember that at his previous club, PSG, he earned €72 million (around €55 million after tax).
Salaries of Real Madrid players
After Mbape, the highest paid is already David Alaba, with 22.5 million euros, who is followed by Luka Modric, with 21.88 million euros.
Vinisius Jr and Belingham are next, both with €20.83 million, followed by Valverde (€16.67 million), Courtua (€15 million), Militao and Rudiger (€14.58 million each), and finally, Rodrigo, Chuameni and Kamavinga, all with 12.5 million euros.
