Simone Inzaghi, who led Inter to the Italian title, has been named Serie A coach of the season, the Italian league announced on Friday.

Inzaghi, 48, succeeds Luciano Spalletti, who took the honor in charge of Napoli last season. A panel of sports publication directors selected the Inter manager for the award, the league said, which did not detail the breakdown of votes.
