Currently, the three teams such as Flamurtari, Teuta and Skënderbeu have their stadiums, not in the best possible condition, but they will play this season's games there and maybe the government will remember next year, given that the campaign month is approaching elections and can be used to make a "show" by the Prime Minister, who probably planned the start of works in these stadiums the month the elections will be held.
More than a year ago, the projects of three new stadiums to be built in Vlora, Korça and Durrës were presented, but even though a considerable amount of time has passed, the stadiums have remained only on paper, as these projects are not being implemented .
In their presentations last May, the Prime Minister himself, Edi Rama, was also present, while we are heading towards September 2024 and there is nothing new about the start of the works to build these three stadiums that have been promised with great fanfare by the current government. In Durrës, the project was won by a Belgian studio, which has re-conceptualized the stadium similar to that of the Argentinian team Boka Juniors, the famous "La Bombonera", and not only that, as several towers will be built around it.
While in Korça, the project has been won by the Danish studio "Cebra Architecture", which will lead to the construction of some not very high buildings around the stadium, adapted to the architecture of the city, some other fields and buildings where there will also be other services for citizens as well as entertainment spaces, including a park. Also in Vlora, the Belgian studio 'XDGA' was declared the winner for the project.
The model of the new stadium coincides and resembles that of "Air Albania", with the construction of several towers that will be for multifunctional services. The problem is that there is no movement to date and these projects are not being implemented on the ground.
