Ukraine-Albania friendly to be officiated by Spanish referees

The Albanian national football team will play a friendly match against Ukraine tomorrow at 20:45, a duel that will take place at the Levante stadium in Valencia, Spain. Four days ago, our team was defeated 2-1 by Poland in Warsaw, eliminating them from the competition for the 2026 World Cup groups, while this friendly comes against another team eliminated from the competition for the World Cup groups (Sweden won 1-3 against Ukraine).

Ernest Muçi did not train with the team yesterday, as the striker has felt discomfort in the back of his right thigh since Saturday. For this reason, yesterday he underwent an MRI, which revealed an edema at the muscle level, which requires several days of rest for full recovery and as a result he cannot fully recover in time for the match against Ukraine. After consulting with the medical staff, coach Sylvinho decided to release Muçi, who has traveled to Turkey to continue his recovery.

Midfielder-attacker Jasir Asani, who suffered a blow to his right knee during training, also did not participate in yesterday's training session. The medical staff is continuously monitoring his condition and today it will be assessed whether the footballer will be ready to return to training.

The match will be refereed by Spanish referee Juan Martínez Munuera, with his assistants compatriots Raúl Cabañero, Alfredo Rodriguez Moreno and Iosu Galech Apezteguía.

The friendly match between Ukraine and Albania will take place on March 31, at 20:45, at the 'Estadio Ciutat de València' stadium, in Valencia, Spain.
