Chelsea have suffered their fourth consecutive defeat in the Premier League. The Blues were defeated today at Stamford Bridge by a minimum score of 0-1 by Manchester United, in the match valid for the 33rd week.
For the “London Blues”, the match started badly, when after only 16 minutes of play, Estevao was injured and Alejandro Garnaço, a former player of the “Red Devils”, was activated in his place. The challenge was unblocked in the 43rd minute, where after an assist from Bruno Fernandes, it was Mateus Kunja, who sent the ball into the net with a light shot inside the area. The first half ended 0-1 for the team led by Michael Carrick.
In the 57th minute, Chelsea came close to equalising, but Liam Delap's header was blocked by the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Wesley Fofana's shot hit the crossbar, saving the Red Devils again.
The score remained the same until the end. With this victory, Manchester United is ranked third with 58 points, while Chelsea remains in 6th place with 48 points, leaving them one foot out of the Champions League next season.
