The last two weeks have been among the most difficult for Igli Taren. The former Albanian national football player initially faced the end of his project at Milan, leaving his position as manager of the red and black club. In parallel, he was called to give evidence to the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK) in the framework of investigations related to the file known as "Balluku", where money laundering charges have been filed.
During this period, Tare has chosen not to make public statements. However, he made a surprise appearance at the end-of-season dinner organized by the “Milan Club Old Clan” in Milan, one of the club's historic fan groups, where he was invited by the organizers.
In his speech to the fans, Tare expressed his gratitude for the support he received during his time at Milan.
" I accepted this invitation with great pleasure and pride, because when I arrived last year, I had my first meeting with you and I immediately received what I have always wanted, the love for this jersey and these colors ," he declared.
The former red and black manager did not hide his disappointment over the fact that the team failed to secure qualification for the Champions League.
" I feel a little guilty, because in the last week we didn't manage to take Milan to the Champions League. But something remains, Milan is bigger than everyone ," said Tare.
Reflecting on his experience at the Italian club, he stressed that the period, although short, will remain special for him.
" And although only for a year, it has been a great honor for me to work for this club and you will always be there wherever I am ," Tare said to the members of the fan group.
