Prime Minister Edi Rama and Minister of Defense, Ermal Nufi, were present today at the opening of the National Flight School.
Rama said that this will be an important step for the modernization of the Albanian Air Force, investing in people, technology and the preparation of pilots or air traffic controllers according to NATO standards.
Rama, during the opening ceremony of the National Flight School, said that the training will be provided by Israel.
"We are in discussions with our partners to bring one of the world's excellences in training, education and certification of special forces from Israel. The National School of Special Forces will also be open to others and will welcome cadets from allied countries in the region, starting with Kosovo and beyond. Our ambition is that these two new poles of defense system transformation will turn into poles of excellence beyond our borders. Our guarantee is our friends and allies of the security forces and the Israeli air force. The school will also cooperate with other partners and will be open to other connections, but the beginning is very good," said Rama.
