Brighton surprises Liverpool, the Reds remain outside the Champions League zone

The main protagonist of the match was Danny Welbeck, who scored two goals, one in each half. The striker opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a header.

Liverpool responded in the 30th minute, when Milos Kerkez capitalized on a mistake by defender Luis Dank to level the scores at 1-1. This was the result that ended the first half.

In the second half, Brighton regained the lead. In the 56th minute, Welbeck scored again, sending the ball into the net and making the final score 2-1.

With this victory, Brighton climbs to eighth place in the Premier League standings. Meanwhile, Liverpool remains in fifth place with 49 points, jeopardizing the target of a place in the Champions League next season.
