A wedding in India turned into a real wrestling ring after the groom's guests started a violent fight over the lack of rasgulla, the famous Indian dessert. Kicks, punches, plates and chairs flying: a real riot that ended with the wedding being canceled.
The incident took place in Bodh Gaya, in the state of Bihar, on November 29, with footage only going viral in recent days.
The video, captured by surveillance cameras at the hotel where the party was taking place, shows the newlyweds' guests exchanging punches in every corner of the room, amid chairs and flying plates, despite the presence of many children.
The tense moment ended after just a few minutes, as did the celebrations: the event was canceled, and so was the wedding.
As reported by local newspapers, the violent altercation was sparked by the lack of rasgulla, a traditional East Indian dessert often served at wedding banquets and celebrations. In the following days, the bride's family filed a dowry lawsuit against the groom's family, while the latter adamantly denied the allegations, calling them baseless. Local police have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
