Semi Jaupaj has presented her newest musical project. The song was originally known with the provocative title "Fck it," but was later changed to "Calling."
In a conversation with her followers on Instagram, in the "ask me" section, Sami explained the meaning and inspiration behind the song. She revealed that the lyrics are a reflection of her personal history.
"Sometimes there are no obvious reasons for breaking up, such as betrayal or unforgivable mistakes. You can love someone very much and feel loved by them, but just be very different. It's normal to love someone so much and still decide to end it. Will it hurt? Absolutely. But time heals everything. This song is about that pain and the process of overcoming it,” Sam explained.
The change of the title of the song is related to YouTube's strict policies for some countries, including Albania. Sam clarified that YouTube did not allow the use of the title "Fck it," even though it is a widely used phrase in the world.
"Words like 'fuck' or 'fck' are not allowed in some countries, while there are hundreds of songs on YouTube with titles that are much more offensive. I was impressed that, according to their announcement, if we were in the European Union, the rules would be different. It seems as if we Albanians stop even for the simplest use of these words, " she said.
