Moderator Fjoralba Ponari, known for her involvement in the "Flamingo Revolution", has ironized Prime Minister Edi Rama regarding his comments about the situation on the boulevard during the protests, also bringing to attention the example of French President Emmanuel Macron.
From Paris, Ponari reacted with a post on social media, where he wrote:
"As a correspondent from Paris, I'm letting you know that Macron has not come out to complain about the protesters' trash."
Her reaction was interpreted as a dig at recent statements and controversies about cleanliness in the areas where the protests have taken place.
Earlier, the moderator had praised Saturday's protest as a moment of particular importance, emphasizing the need for it to maintain its civic and peaceful character.
"Thank you diaspora! The emotions you gave us yesterday were extraordinary. History was written yesterday. The protest reached a climax that will remain long in our memory," she wrote.
Ponari further emphasized that the success of the protest brings greater responsibility for the participants, urging that its character not be lost.
"Now we have an even greater responsibility. We must not allow, at any moment, the protest to lose its civic, peaceful and dignified character ," she said.
The moderator has previously used irony and sarcasm on social media to comment on political developments, accompanying her viral posts with messages about current events.
