Love that turned to hate/ Cardi B: If I were still with Offset, I would kill him

Cardi B has spoken openly about her mental state while she was with Offset, saying that if she had stayed in the relationship with him, she would have "killed him."

The Grammy-winning rapper, who is now dating NFL player Stefon Diggs, appeared live on X Spaces on Tuesday, June 4, thanking her supporters and responding to those who criticized her for her new relationship. “I don’t think people realize how tired I was. How exhausted, how mentally drained,” she said, apparently referring to her marriage to Offset. “I was literally on the verge of going crazy. I couldn’t eat. I had headaches all the time. I was losing my mind,” she confessed.

"If I were still there, I would end up in prison, because I would kill him with my own hands," she stressed.

The rapper described how she was “so depressed” because of the “constant drama.” “I would wake up every morning with paranoid thoughts,” she said, adding that even her managers were concerned and suggested she see a therapist. This all happened before Cardi B and Offset reconnected and had their daughter, Blossom, last year. However, as she revealed, the reunion didn’t last. “I went to therapy, I fell in love again, I made the decision to have my baby and finally… when something ends, it ends,” she told her fans.

Now, she says she's in a much better place. "I'm happy and I feel like I'm learning life again. Like I'm learning all over again. Dating is new to me and it took me a while to open up to someone again," she said. Speaking about the critical comments she received after announcing her relationship with Stefon Diggs, Cardi B admitted: "I don't understand why I get so much hate from men. They call me a whore. I was married for seven years and I was faithful."
