Bujar Qamili 'without gloves': Luana Vjollca asked me herself,

The well-known singer of folk songs, especially those from Shkodra, Bujar Qamili has spoken 'without gloves' about his most sensational collaborations.

Asked in an interview about two successful duets: the one with Luana Vjollca and the other with Mateus Frroku, the "Grand Master" of Shkodra song gave a stinging and honest answer:

"They are not singers in the true sense of the word, but they got Bujar's help, that's what they said," the singer said, laughing, then telling the untold story of how the collaboration for the hit "M'i dhe flakë mallit tim" with Luana came about.

Bujari confessed that it all started with a phone call from the moderator, which he initially remembered only as an image.

"He called me... I couldn't remember his name. I said 'that beauty'. He said I wanted to meet him. I met him in Tirana. He took me to lunch, to a very nice bar, and he said: 'I want to do a duet with you'," says Bujari.

However, acceptance was not immediate. The legendary singer reveals that he was skeptical.

"I said, okay, but who composed the song? I didn't know that the intention was somewhere else. I said, 'Do the song and bring it to me orchestrated. If I'm not happy, we won't do it.'"

Luana orchestrated the song with a new producer in Kosovo, and the final result, it seems, immediately convinced Bujar Qamili.

"When he brought me the song, I was extremely pleased. He made the song about sportsmanship, to do a duet with Bujar Qamili. The song has had 22 million views," he concluded.

Today, Bujari says he maintains an excellent relationship with the moderator and always answers her phone, leaving behind any initial doubts.
