While on one side the socialists and on the other the democrats with their allies will dominate the next parliament, 4 deputies from the three political forces that competed for the first time in the elections will be the new colors in the hall.
Although it collected over 64 thousand votes across the country, the "Albania Becomes" Initiative only received one mandate in Tirana.
The first on the fixed list is Ana Dajko, but according to previous statements by the coalition leaders, she has formally decided and will not receive the mandate. After losing the battle for a completely open-list system, the candidates of this coalition have agreed that the fixed list will be exhausted through resignations and the mandate will belong to the one who received the most preferential votes.
Although the Electoral Code does not accept collective resignations and the procedure is expected to be long, from the "Albania Becomes" Initiative, the most voted is Adriatik Lapaj himself with 6436 votes and he is entitled to the mandate. However, a public bet made by the latter that if he does not win more than 2 seats, the deputy will not sit in Parliament, he may pass the mandate to Endri Shabani, the second most voted.
Fewer votes at the national level, 49,006, but "Mundësia", Agron Shehaj's only 1-year-old political creation, managed to take 2 seats in Parliament. With the support secured in Tirana, Shehaj kept his seat in Parliament, while he will also have Erald Kapri at his side. Kapri, a historian and well-known public figure, will be a legislator for the first time.
Arlind Qori's "Together Movement" received 24,621 votes in the country. More than half of them were in Tirana, where it managed to win its only mandate. But the seat in the hall will not be for Qori. With the hope that it could get more than 1 MP, he was ranked second on the fixed list of "Together Movement", so that this party sends only Redi Muçi to the Assembly. Qori himself has denied any machinations for the mandate to go to him, as he says that the opposition fight will be waged by one in the Assembly and the other outside it as party leader.
September also brings back to the Assembly Tom Doshi, who with 49,890 votes in total retained three seats in Parliament. Unlike 2021, when he decided to leave his mandate, this time Doshi will be an MP for Shkodra. From the PSD, along with him, Sabina Jorgo will also be an MP for Shkodra, while Albana Pëllumbi will be an MP for Tirana./ Report Tv
