"Students are being pressured for protests", Berisha: Democrats will
Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, participated in a meeting organized by the Department of Education, where he discussed student protests and the situation in the country's universities.

During his speech, Berisha raised concerns about what he described as pressure on students participating in protests, claiming that in some cases certain professors have exerted influence on them during the exam period.

He urged members of the Department of Education to protect students and respond to any form of pressure that may be exerted on them.

The leader of the Democrats stressed that the protests are being led by citizens and young people, adding that they should not be identified with certain political forces.

According to Berisha, the Democratic Party should make its contribution to these rallies, but by participating as citizens and not with party symbols.

Berisha described the protest as the most important tool for changing the situation in the country and called on citizens, especially young people, to get involved and make their contribution.

"Some very disturbing information shows that pressure has been put on students. Students are taking exams. And students are massively protesting, but there are also lecturers who have put pressure on them.

You, in your departments, should be student advocates and should not agree with anyone who puts pressure on students.

There are people of all persuasions there, let's be realistic... there are some opposition members who think they are at the helm, but they are actually like Diderot's fly who thought they were pulling the cart and not the horse.

The protest is attracted by the citizens there and the young people who stay for six hours, five hours, wash the streets of Tirana with their energy and enthusiasm.

Protest is the only way to save Albania. So I invite you, each of you, to make the greatest possible contribution. It is a historic moment for this protest to succeed. It is a saving moment for Albania.

"The DP must provide the assistance it deserves. We go there as citizens. We do not go with the symbols of our party, but with the civic fiber. Their flag is that of the citizens, for technical government and free elections. So, it is an extraordinary opportunity for every Albanian citizen, for every young person to lend a hand to their country," Berisha said.
