The Head of State has shared a photo on social media with President Trump during his visit to the US, as part of the proceedings of the 80th Session of the General Assembly.
President Begaj states that the friendship between the two countries is an unbreakable bond and a historic alliance.
"Albanian-American friendship, a strong and unbreakable bond, a historic and strategic alliance," Begaj writes alongside a photo of his wife and Melania Trump.
A day earlier, the head of state also participated in a meeting attended by President Donald Trump's envoy for Special Missions and former envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Richard Grenell.
President Bajram Begaj is the first Albanian state official to meet with US President Donald Trump.
