Former Democratic Party MP Ervin Salianji has reacted through social media regarding the protests that have been taking place in Tirana for days, publishing a portion of a speech by Prime Minister Edi Rama in Parliament.
In the video he shared, Rama states that Albanians would not rise up, a statement that Salianji has linked to the participation of citizens in recent protests.
According to the former Democratic MP, the rallies held on the Boulevard over the last 11 days show citizens' dissatisfaction with the government and their demand for political change.
"Albanian citizens said they cannot stand up. They mocked with arrogance and arrogance, with a rotten and corrupt government that serves a handful of people. Look at the square and how the citizens deeply felt the protest of the citizens and did not know where to turn," declared Salianji.
Protests in the capital have continued for several days, with participants demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government.
