Salianji responds to Berisha: The DP's problem is not the lack of support,
Ervin Salianji

The former Democratic MP accuses the leader of the DP of excluding dissenting opinions and says that the party cannot function as anyone's personal property.

Former Democratic Party MP, Ervin Salianji, has reacted after the statement of the DP leader, Sali Berisha, who stated that any democrat who attends Salianji's meetings "has closed accounts with the DP."

Through a reaction on social media, Salianji described Berisha's statement as evidence of the lack of democracy within the Democratic Party, accusing it of excluding dissenting opinions and a lack of internal competition.

" The usurper is concerned about anyone who loves the winning Democratic Party. For the usurper, they are the problem, they disturb his comfort of co-government with Rama. The problem today is the mentality that seeks blind obedience, exclusion and fear instead of competition, debate and merit. This is why every different voice is considered a threat and not a contribution to the Democratic Party ," writes Salianji.

Referring directly to Berisha's statement, he emphasizes that the DP's main problem is not related to electoral support, but to the way the party functions.

" Sali Berisha's statement that 'anyone who cooperates with Salianji has nothing to do with the DP' is clear evidence that the Democratic Party's problem is not the lack of support, but the lack of democracy. For support, we did not have the courage to face each other in the race. When the race is avoided and the debate is closed, the party loses the ability to renew itself and become a winning alternative for the citizens ," he says.

Salianji adds that a political force cannot be built on loyalty to individuals, but on democratic principles and free competition.

" A political party cannot function as anyone's personal property. In a democratic party, people are not excluded because they think differently, those who cooperate with their colleagues are not declared enemies, and loyalty to the individual is not placed above the interest of the party. Democrats deserve an open party, where contributions are valued and not blind obedience to one person ," the reaction continues.

In the end, the former Democratic MP calls for unity among Democrats and not division within the party.

" Democrats do not need lists of enemies, but a winning project that unites and not divides. The DP will not become a majority by excluding the Democrats. The DP becomes a majority by uniting them. This is the battle and we will not avoid it until the end. Only through unity and respect for different opinions can a credible alternative for governing the country be built ," concludes Salianji.
