Democratic Party MP Edi Paloka has stated that Prime Minister Edi Rama is pursuing policies that, according to him, align with the interests of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
Paloka argued that a joint European Union proposal has created an advantage for Serbia. He stressed that this approach serves Vučić at a time when the issue of Kosovo's recognition remains a key condition in international processes.
Paloka also addressed the opposition's participation in the reform roundtables, including discussions on party financing. He described this engagement as a tactical move and not a sign of cooperation with the government. According to him, the prime minister does not respect political agreements and aims to weaken the opposition.
"Rama does not recognize agreements and only aims to eliminate the opposition," Paloka said on Ora News.
Regarding the local elections in Tirana, he announced that the opposition will select a competitive candidate, without necessarily limiting the selection within the structures of the Democratic Party. He added that the majority candidates represent the same political line.
