Democratic Party member Ilirjana Kuçana has reacted after the clash with DP leader Sali Berisha during the National Council meeting, making accusations about the way processes within the party function.
In a statement to the media outside the blue headquarters, Kuçana said that a serious problem has been created in the Democratic Party, as the support of the Secretary General, Flamur Noka, is crucial to obtaining a leadership position.
"You have to get the support of Muli to take a position in the DP. This is intolerable. 'Mulism' is a phenomenon that must be fought. I invite all democrats to fight this phenomenon. We must vote for people who are detached from the clans. We have secretaries who have left and gone to the bosom of Edi Rama. I invite you, in the coming days there will be more information", declared Kuçana.
Kuçana also said that she decided to make her positions public, as she claims that her voice has not been heard within the Democratic Party forums.
"The moment my voice is not heard in the party forums, I will go out and make it public for the Democrats. The moment the DP does not have to listen to the members of the National Council, this is a very big problem. The DP must get as close as possible to the protest," said Kuçana.
Kuçana also criticized the way the Democratic Party is handling the civic protest, demanding that the National Council adopt a resolution in its support.
"Let me tell you that the DP and the National Council should have come up with a supporting resolution. We are the DP that functions with resolutions and letters. I asked that they come up with a serious resolution in support of the protest," said Kuçana.
