Democratic Party MP Saimir Korreshi spoke shortly before the start of the DP National Council meeting, which is expected to begin at 6:00 PM, where a vote will also be held for the position of the party's Secretary General.
Korreshi, who is running against Flamur Noka, said that the decision to enter the race was a last-minute decision.
"It's today's decision," he said, while when asked by reporters if it was a personal decision, he replied: "No one forces me."
When asked if he had had time to campaign among the members of the National Council, the democratic MP said that he did not see such a thing as necessary.
"They know us. Lobbying is what we represent to each other. Everyone knows it. If the time has come for it to change, it will change," Korreshi declared.
He was also asked what he would do if the Democratic Party's number two was elected, he preferred not to comment on the result before the vote. "Let the voting end once and for all ," Korreshi replied.
