Today's parliamentary session was accompanied by debates and tensions, even the throwing of water bottles at Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Expected to be a marathon, it lasted only 20 minutes, after opposition MPs did not allow Prime Minister Rama to present the program.
After the approval by 82 votes of the governing program and the new cabinet proposed by Prime Minister Edi Rama, tensions in the Assembly hall escalated. The opposition reacted with irony, using slogans from the communist era to attack the way the majority is running the country.
"Enver Party, we are ready anytime," was the ironic call that was heard in the Assembly hall, as opposition MPs protested the manner in which the program and the new cabinet were approved without debate.
To express their revolt, opposition MPs threw the Assembly's regulations towards the podium and towards the seats where ministers and Prime Minister Edi Rama were seated.
