The "Democratic Party - Alliance for a Greater Albania" coalition has filed another complaint with the Complaints and Sanctions Commission (KAS), this time regarding the results of the May 11 parliamentary elections in the Gjirokastra and Vlora Regions.
After previous complaints in the districts of Kukës, Berat and Korçë, the DP now demands the declaration of the election result as invalid in the entire district of Gjirokastra and Vlora and the repetition of the votes for the Albanian Parliament.
Complaints for the Fier, Elbasan, and Durrës regions are also ready and expected to be filed with the KAS.
Meanwhile, the Central Election Commission has concluded and formalized the election process by certifying the results for all 12 regions of the country.
According to the final tables, the Socialist Party secured 83 mandates, the PD-ADSHM coalition took 50 seats in the Assembly, while the new political forces shared 7 mandates: 3 for the PSD, 2 for the Opportunity party, and 1 each for the Together Movement and the Albania Is Made Initiative.
The Democratic Party has accused the process of widespread manipulation, describing it as an "electoral massacre," and is pursuing the institutional path to contest the results in several districts of the country, where so far the number has reached five, but there will certainly be more in the coming days.
