Democratic Party MP Ina Zhupa, before entering the Assembly, was stopped to give a brief statement to journalists where she commented on the new rules that the parliament will adopt regarding media information inside and outside the Assembly premises.
Zhupa has stated that the decision to no longer allow journalists into the Parliament's boxes is a repressive move that aims to hinder the work of journalists.
"Information is the most powerful weapon against those in power. Even where the assembly does not make laws to elect your leaders and those of the citizens, it makes decisions to censor them. Every day here you have some attack or repressive measure against journalists. This must be stopped and we must become advocates for the rights of the media and journalists," said Ina Zhupa.
