For a 3-year period, from December 2014 to November 2017, SPAK suspects that the Meta-Kryemadhi couple spent $240,000 from the card of Albanian-American businessman Adrian Shatku (cousin of Monika Kryemadhi).
This is about the new suspected episode of corruption that SPAK has uncovered and was one of the pieces of evidence it used in the session where the two-month information on the Meta case was presented, who was once again left in prison.
This is the amount that has been documented so far, as it is suspected that the value may be higher and for this reason other letters of inquiry are expected. SPAK has administered several letters of inquiry from several foreign countries on payments made with this second online banking card.
In SPAK's bimonthly report on the Meta case, it is stated that this amount was used to make payments for clothing from Kryemadhi in London, Vienna, Las Vegas and Beverly Hills, but also for payments for hotel stays or plane tickets.
"The expenses made by Monika Kryemadhi with the American Express Centurion card with number XXXX XXXXXS-31017, for the period December 2014- November 2017 amount to 234,677.83 USD. According to the description of the type of service, the payments made by Monika Kryemadhi are mainly for purchases in clothing stores in London, Vienna, Las Vegas, Beverly Hills; payments for hotel stays in London, New York and Las Vegas as well as airline tickets for trips," says SPAK's bimonthly report on the Ilir Meta case.
In the June 26 session, which lasted about 4 hours, Meta, with an 11-page document, was acquitted of all the new charges brought by SPAK, leaving the responsibility to his ex-wife, Monika Kryemadhi. As for the cards from Shatku for which SPAK accuses him of corruption, Meta said in the session that they belonged to Monika and when he found out, he filed for divorce from her./ Shqiptarja
