Prime Minister Edi Rama was greeted with protests after he went to Düsseldorf, Germany.
At the start of the meeting, a group of Albanian protesters, with national symbols and calls for Rama's resignation, raised their voices against the actions of the head of the Albanian government.
Protesters raised banners and called for the removal of Prime Minister Rama, in line with the revolt in Tirana, against laws that they said favor the privatization of public assets.
This episode is the second in recent weeks, as Rama was greeted with protests by Albanians in the diaspora, even when he was in Basel, Switzerland, while massive protests in Tirana had begun.
Rama met in Germany this Wednesday, July 1, with the Prime Minister of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Hendrik Wüst, as part of an official visit to Germany.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Albania and one of Germany's most powerful economic and industrial regions, with particular emphasis on foreign investment, the development of digital technology, vocational education, and Albania's accession process to the European Union.
During his visit to the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (Nordrhein-Westfalen-NRW), Rama will participate in the "Ruhr Summit", one of the most important events in Europe dedicated to innovation, entrepreneurship and technology.
