The mysterious Hungarian of Offshore, the friend of Edi Rama who laundered a significant slice of the strategic assets of the Albanians, such as telecommunications and banks...

The Hungarian socialist opposition has requested a debate in the ranks of the European Socialist Party about Edi Rama's suspicious ties with Viktor Orban, who is also considered Vladimir Putin's friend in the European Union.

Rama's ties to Orban have been close for years. Rama has even defended the Hungarian autocrat in the international media, when he was asked about his undemocratic and anti-liberal actions.

Orban is in fact the political father of the sovereignists and right-wing extremists in Europe, among which the closest ally is Giorgia Meloni. Which, not by chance, is also very close to Edi Rama.

Even for this fact, we are dealing with a political development that harms not only the Socialist Party of Albania, but Albanian and European progressives in general.

This friendship is not just an alchemy between two leaders who have taken root for years and are not uprooted from governance. This is a pure business deal.

Edi Rama, as a result of Viktor Orban's influence, brought to Albania one of the most controversial businessmen of Hungary and with one hand gave him a large piece of the strategic assets of the Albanians; telecommunications and banks.

So Gellért Zoltán Jászai, the head of 4iG, took over the telephone company ONE, which also had a license for Internet distribution, the company Albtelecom, which had the largest landline license, the third mobile phone and an Internet and IPTV network distributed in the whole country. It also gave it the license of a second-tier bank, after it bought Alfa Bank, the Albanian branch of the Greek bank, which owns a serious portfolio of business loans and houses and real estate.

So with an administrative action, such important assets of the country were given in a single hand. Hand which has never had a guarantee that we are dealing with a prestigious enterprise.

Usually different countries make important monopoly transfers in the hands of large companies, with guarantees in the world market and with a considerable chance of not causing a financial trauma if they fail.

All this in Albania happened without any such analysis. Because 4iG was neither Vodafone, which is a multinational, nor any prestigious international name, but only a local Hungarian actor, which moreover is an actor registered as offshore in the Virgin Islands.

Even as it emerged from the publication of the Panama Papers, the Hungarian Gellért Zoltán Jászai associated with Orban is considered to have close ties to companies close to the Kremlin and Vladimir Putin.

Although in Albania, there are legally organizations to protect the economy from monopoly, that is anti-trust nature, no one prevented Edi Rama from giving Orbani's man, the country's biggest financial slice. And this did not come naturally...

In 2019, Edi Rama removed Ilir Zela from the head of AKEP, just before Gellért Zoltán Jászai carried out the acquisition operations of ONE from the Germans of Telekom and Albtelekom from the Turks of Calik Enerji.

Instead of Zela, Rama appointed his advisor Tomas Frashëri, who is the husband of another member of Rama's staff.

Frashëri then gives the green light to Orbani's man, who today is the entrepreneur who holds the strategic assets of the Albanians. But here it starts; because instead of managing them with care and respect for customers, One undertakes a money-grubbing operation, raising fees without providing service, while OTP has aggressively exponentially increased all loan installments of former customers Alfa Bank.

OTP customers have undergone an aggressive process of increasing installments, especially those who had them in euros, by 80-200 euros per month. What is there is a terrible operation penalizing thousands of Albanians. And in this operation where the Hungarian Offshore gets rich, the government not only does not interfere but gives operational facilities.

In this Hungarian offshore operation, it has not stopped for a year, it has stressed thousands of people that not only your installment but all services have increased. The same thing happens in One when every customer who makes the monthly payment is asked for another 200 lek fee without any rules, while they did not pay it before. The AKEP of Frashëri i Rama is watching because it was appointed not to protect customers but the mysterious Hungarian of Offshore./ Pamphlet
