"Berisha in a difficult situation", Çollaku advises colleagues:

After losing the May 11 elections, the Democratic Party is in a difficult political and organizational situation, according to Kreshnik Çollaku. In an interview, he emphasized that the product of an “electoral farce” cannot be translated into normal representation in Parliament.

" The response to an electoral farce... cannot be the representation in Parliament of a totally worthless and insignificant group. If the opposition starts normal life by making interpellations about agriculture or the road code, the battle for the electoral farce itself turns into a farce. I am not for rejecting the mandates, but for blocking them, to go only on the first day to get them, then after 6 months, just to not burn them ," said Çollaku.

He praised Sali Berisha's role as a political factor, but stressed that the leader of the DP is "in great difficulty" due to the party's division and the narrow interests of some deputies. " Berisha is almost the only actor who brought 500 thousand votes to the DP, but the internal conflict has gotten out of control. The sectarian spirit in the party has paralyzed opposition action. The time has come to change the status quo and Berisha has historical weight in this process ," he declared.

Çollaku called for the unity of the Democrats and an urgent reorganization of the structures, warning that power cannot be won with only 400-500 thousand votes. " Berisha as a political factor is decisive, but double the votes are needed to come to power. Therefore, these processes are vital and cannot be postponed any longer ," Çollaku concluded.
