A member of the Serbian delegation tried to stop the flag from flying during Alis Kallaç's performance at the Eurovision final.
An incident occurred at the Media Center of the Eurovision festival, which took place in Vienna this year, during the broadcast of the performance of Albanian singer Alis Kallaçi with the song "Nân".
The incident took place in the hall where journalists, delegations and television crews were watching the final of the festival. According to Albert Limani from Eurovision Kosovo, a member of the Serbian delegation reacted to the waving of the Kosovo flag during Albania's performance.
Limani, who was in the media center with the RTK team and other Albanian representatives, said that the situation arose when they were celebrating Alis Kallaçi's appearance on the Eurovision stage.
According to him, the woman from the Serbian delegation approached the group and demanded the removal of the Kosovo flag, claiming that it was not allowed in the festival premises. He said that she tried to touch the flag, but was unable to remove it.
In a reaction published on social media, Limani stated that the Kosovo flag will continue to fly at every activity where Albanians participate and that no obstruction of its display will be allowed.
He has also published a video from the moment of the incident at the Vienna Media Center.
Meanwhile, Alis Kallaçi took the Eurovision final stage in fifth place with the song "Nân". The song is a ballad that deals with the relationship between mother and child and was one of the performances of the evening that was followed with interest by the Albanian audience.
