The iconic film that made Sharon Stone famous, 'Basic Instinct' could

Margot Robbie has been rumored to be one of the favorites to play Catherine Tramell in the remake of the legendary film Basic Instinct, which returns after more than 30 years.

Amazon MGM Studios has secured the rights to the erotic thriller that rocked cinema in 1992. Original screenwriter Joe Eszterhas has returned in a $4 million deal and has promised "a wild and orgasmic experience."

Also in the running are names like Florence Pugh, Sydney Sweeney, Anya Taylor-Joy and Ana de Armas, but Robbie has also received support from Sharon Stone herself.

This may be the boldest role she has ever taken on.
