Details of the assassination attempt on Kevin Hajrulla have emerged. Journalist Klodiana Lala's show "Në Shënjestër" covered his case, while also revealing the testimony he gave after the attack.

Kevin Hajrulla remained in serious condition for weeks, after being hit with dozens of bullets during the assassination attempt. He was treated at the Trauma Hospital, where he remained under the constant care of doctors and under the protection of the police, who guarded his room with strong security measures. During this period, Kevin showed his connection with the most famous character of the Hajrulla family and the city of Vlora itself, Inez Hajrulla, who took over the leadership of the criminal groups after the execution of Edison Harizaj, known as Edison 'Faqedjeguri'.
Inez Hajrulla has himself been the target of assassination attempts several times, where he has suffered serious physical injuries that have affected his life, but not his criminal activity, which he continues to exercise through his influence in the city. Kevin emphasized: “I have Inez Hajrulla as a cousin, but I do not have close relations with her and I do not meet her on a daily basis.” He also denied having any conflicts that could be related to the assassination attempt on him.
Kevin said that at the time of the attack he was at a crowded intersection in the 'Çole' neighborhood, when a moving car fired a volley of bullets at him. Although he denied close relations with his problematic cousin, the investigative group believes that the main track remains that of revenge, as well as a possible conflict of Kevin Hajrulla himself, who nevertheless emphasized that he led a normal and modest life as a call center employee.
His friends also did not provide details that would help identify the perpetrators, emphasizing that everything happened very quickly and that all they could remember was the type of vehicle the attackers drove. They also said that Kevin had not shown any concern or protected himself from any potential danger, moving freely in the city.
His case clearly shows that rival criminal groups have begun targeting the family members of crime bosses in an attempt to demoralize them and force them to remain isolated in their "lofts."
The Investigation File states: "The main clue in the assassination attempt against Kevin Hajrulla remains the previous conflict, the family connection with Inez Hajrulla, known as the 'strongman' of Vlora, who has had a long history of clashes with rival groups and has survived two serious assassination attempts."
The first assassination attempt on Inez Hajrulla took place in 2017, when he was attacked with TNT and suffered serious injuries to both legs. The next one took place on May 10, 2019, when he was shot by a moving vehicle in the 'Uji i Ftohtë' neighborhood in Vlora, while he was in a bar. During this attack, a bystander was injured, while the perpetrators burned the car they used in the village of Babicë e Vogël.
Inez Hajrulla, also known as "Ini i Çones", became the main figure of organized crime in Vlora after the murder of Edison Harizaj in 2018, where he served as his right-hand man and took over the leadership of the group.
Conflicts between rival groups continued, including clashes with the Sinomataj family, which, after the assassination of Kevin Hajrulla, received another clear message just a week later: a package with a drone loaded with explosives was thrown onto the 9th floor balcony of Bernard Sinomataj's apartment in Tirana. A clear warning that revenge is near and that the war between these families continues.
