
A pistol-type firearm, stuffed in a shoulder bag, was found by Saranda police at the location where two young men from Kamza were injured today at lunchtime.
Sources indicate that the weapon is suspected to belong to one of the two injured, Ernest Lama, 24, and Gëzim Hoxhaj, 32.
The police are investigating possible connections between the injury and other events that occurred in Saranda, while together with the FNSH they are conducting numerous checks in the city.
It is learned that 4 spent shells from the perpetrator's gun, which he took with him, were found at the scene.
Ramadan Zoto alias Ramadan Canaj, 42 years old, and his brother Erjon Canaj, 35 years old, from Saranda, are wanted for the incident. Confidential sources indicate that there may be other people involved in the incident, for whom investigations are ongoing.
The serious incident occurred today in neighborhood no. 4 of Saranda, near the city stadium, where two people were seriously injured. The perpetrators have several criminal records.
Ramadan Zoto executed 51-year-old Pushkin Kuspa in Athens in April 2005, for reasons of revenge. On January 31, 2008, in an attempt to capture him, he exchanged fire with the Greek police, but was arrested at the end of February 2008. He also has a history of armed robbery in Greece.
The condition of the injured continues to remain serious, as they are being treated at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana after being transported by helicopter from the Saranda Hospital.
