A 37-year-old man has been arrested in Tirana after being wanted by Spanish authorities for drug cultivation.
A citizen with dual identities, Gjergji Ceka alias Gjergj Kola, has been arrested.
Gjergj Kola was declared an international wanted person after the Court of Malaga, Spain, assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the criminal offense of "Cultivation of narcotic plants".
The authorities are carrying out procedures for the extradition of this citizen.
"Following the operations conducted by the Directorate of the Special Operational Force in the Criminal Police Department of the State Police, for the localization, capture and detention of wanted citizens, based on information obtained through operational means, the next operation, codenamed "Operation 76", was finalized."
During this operation, the internationally wanted citizen was arrested in Tirana:
Gjergji Ceka alias Gjergj Kola, 37 years old, resident of Tirana.
This citizen was declared an international wanted person after the Court of Malaga, Spain, with the decision dated 14.11.2025, assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense of "Cultivation of narcotic plants".
"Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Interpol Madrid, will carry out the procedures for the extradition of this citizen," the police announced.
