Both clans contracted paid execution teams for almost three years.
"...when I decided to knock on this institution (SPAK), to give explanations and clarify my position on everything that has happened in my life and that of my family, I gave up everything, including revenge for what has happened to me and my family. I have already left everything in the hands of justice...".
This is the first sentence that Erjon Alibej, one of the repentants from Elbasan, said to three BKH officers and three SPAK prosecutors, before he began his story to tell the series of bloody executions that shocked the country on the Durrës-Rrogozhinë-Peqin-Papër-Elbasan road.
A series of murders that began with the clash of international cocaine traffickers, who initially operated in a single group and were childhood friends and collaborators in the cocaine trade.
But interests, conjunctures, theft, and the exclusivity of cocaine trafficking lines led to the disintegration of the group, which led to the creation of two clans within the group, which then led to a clash with victims on both sides.
The "Çopja" clan, led by the brothers Hajdar and Franc Çopja, and the "Alibej" clan, led by the brothers Enea and Erjon Alibej, were the two groups that were ready to completely destroy the city, only for one of them to win this war.
Both clans contracted teams of paid executioners for almost three years. On one side was Talo Çela, a character with extensive experience in crimes and who had not yet been arrested by the State Police.
And on the other hand, his student Nuredin Dumani acted as an opponent, who was obsessed with killing Talo Çela and at the same time carried out contract killings on behalf of Erjon Alibey and Arjan Spahisa.
Thousands and millions of euros offered by both clans involved in the war, for the taking of the lives of young boys, who in many cases were completely innocent.
Erjon Alibej alone contracted and paid for 7 murders and the destruction of Talo Çela's house with explosives, amounting to 388 thousand euros. Not counting the financial costs of purchasing modern weapons and the corruption of high-ranking officials.
In exchange for Alibej's payments, 7 people were killed, including Angjelo Avdija, Dorjan Shkoza, the brothers Besmir and Viktor Kola, Emiljano Ramazani, Bujar Çela, and Regis Runaj. In exchange for the payment, Talo Çela's house was blown up and destroyed.
In exchange for payments and other means, the conditions were secured to kill Talo Çela, Dine Çami, Altin Ndoci and other people.
Quite expensive offers in euros have also been made by the opposing clan of Erjon Alibej, whose family suffered the loss of 6 members, including Enea Alibej, Arben Dylgjeri, Erdal Durunay, Arjan Spahiu, Andi Zylyfin and Everest Çaka.
While Nuredin Dumanin's group only caused the murder of Klevis Kapllani in Sinaballaj, Kavaja.
For almost 3 years now, Erjon Alibej has earned the status of SPAK collaborator, thanks to his confession given in 7 different minutes.
Meanwhile, in two court sessions, Erjon Alibej's confession was heard by the court, lawyers, and defendants present at the court session.
Alibey has described his family's ordeal and involvement in the vortex of the elimination of his relatives. He initially revealed his suspicions about Suel Çela and the meetings he had with him.
He has shown the research work and parallel investigation he conducted to uncover the names that had struck and killed his family members.
At the same time, he indicated that he made all the discoveries he made available to the Elbasan Police and Prosecutor's Office, mentioning specific names of police officers and prosecutors, who according to him did not act, which is why he lost trust in the prosecution, thus leading them down the path of revenge and murder.
But in fact, there are some contradictions in Alibej's account. After all, it was precisely the prosecutors that Alibej mentioned in the hearing who uncovered the Bradashesh massacre, declaring Mikal Kamami wanted as the main participant in this murder with 3 victims.
Alibej's mention of the police and prosecutors in the courtroom, anathematizing them as officials who had failed to act, disturbed the peace of SPAK prosecutor Behar Dibra, who was present in the courtroom.
Dibra asked Alibej to focus on the facts and to detail the crimes for which Alibej is accused and the charges that are the subject of trial in this court process.
The same thing was requested from the court by the defendants' defense lawyers, who reminded the court to interrupt Alibej's testimony, since for two court sessions, they had not heard anything from the SPAK collaborator about the crimes he committed, as he only spoke about his family life and the private investigations he conducted, saying nothing about the crimes he himself committed.
But Alibey, from the center of his speech, addressed the court with the words:
"...honorable court, I have been waiting for this moment for a long time to talk about the whole ordeal and explain to you what happened...".
At this moment, the prosecutor Dibra stands up and addresses Erjon Alibej with the words:
"...you didn't come here for fun and to talk about whatever you want, you came out of concern that we brought you here, you didn't come here for fun. Talk about the crimes you committed and are accused of. About the charges that are the subject of this trial and not outside the subject, because everything outside the trial has no value...".
The courtroom was engulfed in debate, with defendants and lawyers speaking to the jury without permission. This situation led to the angry departure of prosecutor Behar Dibra from the courtroom, who returned a few minutes later.
Alibej then continued his statement, revealing the details of the preparation with Arjan Spahina and Nuredin Duman, of the murder of Dorjan Shkoza and Anxhelo Avdija, the brothers Besmir and Viktor Haxhiaj, and the plan to kill Altin Ndoc, which they were unable to implement. This coming week, Alibej will also reveal the series of other executions.
