The National Cyber ​​Security Authority (AKSK) has blocked a fraudulent scheme that aimed to steal banking data through fake messages, which were sold as if they came from the Albanian Post.

According to AKSK, the suspected domain has been reported and sent for blocking to the Electronic and Postal Communications Authority (AKEP).

The fraudulent campaign constitutes another attempt to steal credit card data, similar to previous cases that have been recorded in the country, the authority reports.

"The National Cyber ​​Security Authority has immediately taken all measures to block a fraudulent scheme aimed at stealing bank data through fake messages on behalf of the Albanian Post. The dangerous domain has been reported and sent for blocking to AKEP. This campaign is not related to a specific sponsored actor, but is another attempt to steal credit card data, similar to previous cases encountered by Albanian Post impersonators. Caution! Do not under any circumstances provide your bank or card data through suspicious forms! AKSK continues to monitor and cooperate closely with responsible institutions to prevent any attempt at digital fraud ," the AKSK announcement states.
