This is Valmir Balliu from the village of Slabinje, Pogradec, who yesterday attempted to traffic 6 kg of heroin to Greece through the Kapshtica border crossing.
Balliu was used as a courier by a criminal group operating in the Pogradec and Korça areas.
Meanwhile, the structures of the Police Supervision Agency (AMP) monitored and investigated the case.
"Ora News" journalist Elton Qyno has learned that the car driven by Valmir Balliu was not checked by Kapshtica border police officers, so based on this finding, AMP investigators have decided to arrest the shift manager and two controllers.
An investigation has already been launched against them for the criminal offense of Abuse of Office. While against the driver of the vehicle where the 6 kg of heroin was seized, the investigations are focused on the criminal offense of "Trafficking in Narcotics" which remains in the attempted stage.
The investigations into this case are now continuing by the Korça prosecutor's office, which is focused on discovering other people who collaborated with Valmir Balliu, with the aim of trafficking heroin from Albania to Greece.
Balliu's phone was seized in the hope of finding communications with his drug trafficking associates.
