Lushnja Massacre, Supreme Court rejects appeal of Bilbil and Kaloshi; leaves
Orges Bilbili, Anterio Kaloshi and Laert Haxhiu

The Supreme Court has rejected the appeal of Orges Bilbili and Anterio Kaloshi, upholding the life imprisonment of two of the perpetrators of the "Lushnja Massacre", Anterio Kaloshi and Orgest Bilbili.

The appeal found Bilbi and Kaloshi guilty of the murder of Zamir Latif and Jurgen Hoxha, as well as the wounding of Bujar Turku and Marius Xhepexhiu, an event that occurred in Lushnja in 2017.

The defendants' lawyer, Detar Hysi, has also reacted to this decision.

"The Supreme Court has not objectively and in accordance with the law assessed the causes of appeal presented by us, giving this process a privatization nuance. The Supreme Court has seriously violated national security, safety of life and safety of property," said the lawyer.

Bilbili, Kaloshi and Laert Haxhiu, who is known as the leader of the group, are accused of being the perpetrators of the 2017 massacre in Lushnje, where Zamir Latifi and Jurgen Hoxha were killed and Marjus Xhepexhiu and Bujar Turku were injured, while the target was Xhulio Shkurti, Aldo Bare's nephew.

Meanwhile, Laert Haxhiu has also been sentenced to life imprisonment for this event in two instances of the judiciary, while his defense's appeal to the Supreme Court is pending review.

Citizen Laert Haxhiu, on 25.09.2016, wounded with a firearm citizens Xhulio Shkurti, the nephew of Aldo Bare, and Saimo Xheliu. Regarding the activity of this criminal group, Artan Tafani, a robber of a financial point in Astir, after his arrest, became a collaborator of justice by solving at least 6 criminal events, where Laert Haxhiu, according to him, was the organizer, participant or orderer of statements that led to the attack on Haxhiu's group.
