
Three people were arrested by police in Tirana, suspected of selling narcotics.
Bekim Rrustemaj, 22 years old, Redon Nela, 27 years old and Bledar Kalaja, 49 years old were arrested. According to the investigation, part of the narcotics was found in the premises owned by the 49-year-old. During the searches, the police found that the drugs were hidden in wall structures, behind the door and in bags.
Following the actions, authorities also discovered cocaine on Kala's 18-year-old son.
During the operation, quantities of cocaine and cannabis divided into doses were seized, as well as mobile phones and money suspected of being derived from illegal activity.
Officers stopped two of the suspects on "Jordan Misja" street with doses ready for sale.
The checks were extended to other premises and vehicles, where additional quantities of narcotics were found. In one of the vehicles, the police also found a police plate.
"The State Police has finalized the operation codenamed "Different" in Tirana, as part of the crackdown on the criminal activity of drug distribution.
During the operation, conducted by the "Eagle" Special Force, Police Commissariat No. 6 and the Narcotics Investigation Section at the Tirana Police Department, two cases of cocaine and cannabis sales were uncovered.
Two citizens, 22 and 27 years old, were arrested on "Jordan Misja" Street, and were found in possession of quantities of narcotics suspected of cocaine and cannabis, divided into doses and suspected of being ready for sale.
Following the operation, a 49-year-old man was also arrested, while his 18-year-old son and another citizen were prosecuted. During searches at a premises owned by the 49-year-old and in vehicles, police seized additional quantities of cocaine and cannabis sativa.
"Also, during the search of the vehicle of one of the suspects, a police plate was found," the police announced.
